Doubts were immediately cast on whether or not this venture was a good idea, some of them understandable, but perhaps the knee has jerked a little too quickly and sharply. Live action didn't make The Last Airbender a hot honeyed wreck. The movie did that through a series of terrible creative decisions.
This story takes place during season 1 of Avatar: the last airbender. If you do not like or are offended by male foot worship then please don't continue reading. Watching her water bend only made him more excited to learn, he followed her movements and nailed it on the first try.

I am here today to tell you that Avatar: The Last Airbenderan animated show about a group of magical kids who ride around on a flying buffalo, deserves to be counted among them. I often bring this subject up in casual conversation. Avatar: The Last Airbender ran on Nickelodeon from to
Since its run from to"Avatar: The Last Airbender," which follows the adventures of year old Aang in his journey to master all four elements, generated massive success in becoming one of Nickelodeon's most popular shows. Its success spawned a sequel series titled "Legend of Korra," which followed Korra, Aang's year old reincarnation. Spanning four seasons and an upgrade in animation with an older cast of characters, the series took on a much more mature tone when compared to its predecessor.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is just fantastic. It and its progressive sequel series The Legend of Korra represent one of the most entertaining, intelligent, engrossing, action-packed, and richly realized animated fantasy worlds, for kids or anyone really. Avatar fandom likes to talk about a lot of things: how the elemental bending martial arts works, what ideology drives the villain, what ship can we drive into the ground next.
Throughout the run of both shows, the pair of showrunners injected narratives not only with real stakes, but with personal problems and personal decisions that helped children understand contingency, accountability, and how one thing leads to the next. On Avatardeath was always in the cards; from the moment that Aang found out his destiny — to stop the Fire Nation from conquering the world — he believed that he had to kill Firelord Ozai. But the realities on the show were never just internal. And none of this could be written off to a one-dimensional evil.
Dealing with mature themes of war, abuse and the power of spirituality, Avatar: The Last Airbender was far from the prototypical animated Nickelodeon shows of the time. As the brainchild of Konietzko and his collaborator Michael Dante DiMartino, the character of Aang was first conceived after Konietzko observed a balding, middle-aged man and sketched him re-imagined as a child herding bison. DiMartino, who had recently watched a documentary on explorers in the South Pole, combined his ideas with Konietzko's drawings and within two weeks the idea was born.
The Last Airbender had a lot of comical, and sometimes childish, moments that made the series charming and fun. After browsing through some Avatar Forums, I noticed that a lot of fans actually missed the fun that The Last Airbender was so famous for. They missed the humor that the show as a whole provided. A lot of people even questioned why Mike and Bryan wanted to change the culture of Avatar by making The Legend of Korra so much more mature in the first place.
